MUGA conditions for use

General Conditions of hire for the Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) at Cookley Playing Fields.

1.    The Team/Organisation hiring the MUGA shall ensure that clean soft soled footwear is worn at all times by those using the MUGA. The wearing of studs or blades is strictly prohibited.

2.    The Team/Organisation hiring the MUGA will be responsible for supervising the behaviour of persons using the MUGA during the period of their hire.

3.    At the end of the hiring, the Team/Organisation hiring the MUGA shall be responsible for leaving the MUGA in a clean and tidy condition, with any equipment temporarily removed from its usual position properly replaced. All litter/debris is to be placed in the bins provided.

4.    If the Team/Organisation hiring the MUGA wish to cancel a booking the question of the repayment of any fees shall be at the discretion of the Cookley Playing Fields Association (CPFA). In the eventuality of a cancellation Teams/Organisations are urged to notify the CPFA as soon as possible (please see the contact numbers at the foot of this page).

5.    In the event of the MUGA, or any part thereof, being rendered unfit for the use for which it has been hired the CPFA shall not be liable to the Team/Organisation hiring the MUGA for any resulting loss.

6.    The CPFA reserves the right to refuse a booking without notice or to cancel this Agreement at any time either before or during the term of the Agreement upon giving 7 days notice in writing to the Team/Organisation looking to hire the MUGA.

7.    This Agreement must be completed in full, signed and the necessary deposit (if any) paid before the date of the first hire.

8.    In no circumstances will the CPFA accept responsibility for the loss, theft, or damage of or to any goods or property of the Team/Organisation hiring the MUGA or any visitor to the premises.

9.    The Team/Organisation hiring the MUGA shall not use the MUGA for any purpose other than that described in the Agreement (see clause 2 of Agreement) and shall not sub-let the MUGA. The Team/Organisation hiring the MUGA must not bring onto the MUGA anything which may endanger the MUGA or render invalid any insurance policies relating to the MUGA.

10.    The Team/Organisation hiring the MUGA shall indemnify the CPFA for the cost of repair of any damage done to any part of the MUGA or of any associated equipment which may occur as a result of the hiring.
